DDC finalizes Ramzan arrangements in Doda

District Development Commissioner Doda, Mr. Mubarak Singh today convened a meeting of District and Sectoral officers, besides representatives  of various  trade organisations to finalize the necessary arrangements being made by the administration for holy month of   Ramzan,ADDC Doda Mr. G.N Balwan, CPO Doda DR. Yassir Balwan, Chief Medical Officer and Doda Dr. Ajay Gupta besides Superintendent District Hospital Doda, SE Hydraulic Cricle Doda,  XEn PHE, AEE R&B, SHO Doda, Inspector Doda Municipality,  President Bepoar Mandal, President Meat Seller Association, President Chicken Seller Association Doda and President Vegetable Seller Association and other Senior officers also attended the meeting.

During the meeting threadbare discussions were held on various arrangements made for Power Supply, Drinking Water, Security, Cleanliness, Medicare etc.The DDC directed PDD   to ensure adequate and un-interrupted supply of power during the holy month, He also directed PHE Department Doda to ensure adequate supply of drinking water to the people during the month.The meeting also fixed the rates of Mutton at Rs. 225/- per Kg, besides Chicken live at Rs. 130 / - per Kg and dressed Chicken at Rs. 160/- per Kg.

DDC directed PHE authorities to ensure adequate supply of water to the Mosques, while the civic authorities were asked to maintain cleanliness in the town and around religious places.  Supply of water to the Slaughter House Doda was also stressed on. Singh also directed AD CAPD Doda, to make available adequate stocks of ration so that people get ration in a hassle free manner. He directed the essential service departments to adopt proactive approach and ensure that people may not face any inconvenience. He warned that any laxity on the part of departments or officials will not be tolerated.

Market Checking Squads were also activated and directed to conduct surprise inspections to keep a check on the rates of essential commodities. He also directed the squads to check quality and quantity of essential supplies so that consumers get good quality vegetables, fruits, mutton, chicken, ration etc during the holy month. DDC also directed Cooking Gas (LPG) supplier to ensure adequate stocks of LPG in the District and also ensure home delivery of the gas to the consumers.The DDC impressed upon the officers to implement the decision taken in the meeting in letter and spirit to avoid any inconvenience to the people.
