The construction work of ‘Azadi ki pahli ladai ka Shaheed Samarak' being built in the memory of innumerable warriors and fighters of the first freedom struggle of 1857 in Ambala Cantonment, Haryana. Art work will be started in the Samarak and this Samarak will be inaugurated during the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav year.
In this Samarak, the events of 1857 revolution will be brought to life in a virtual way and will also be displayed for the enlightenment of the visitors.This information was given during a review meeting held under the chairmanship of Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, with the officers of various departments in connection with the ‘Azadi ki pahli ladai ka Shaheed Samarak, held here today.
It is noteworthy that this Shaheed Samarak is being established by the Department of Information, Public Relations and Languages. This Shaheed Samarak will be established on 22 acres of land.

Sh. Vij directed the officials to speed up the work of the Samarak so that the Samarak can be made operational for the visitors at the earliest. He said that this Shaheed Samarak will develop into a major tourist centre, which will probably be the largest in the country.
A committee of historians has also been formed to showcase the objects and stories of history in relation to the establishment of the Shaheed Samarak, in which their suggestions will be incorporated and displayed through art, light and sound etc.

During the meeting, a power point presentation was also made in relation to 'Shaheed Samarak, in which it was told that in order to make this Shaheed Samarak the best, the country's well-known script writer Atul Tiwari has described various incidents during 1857 in the introductory film. The narration will lead the visitors from history to present day Haryana.
*Live depiction of the events of 1857 will be done in a virtual way*
In the meeting, the Minister was apprised that this monument will be unique in itself and a capsule will be prepared in relation to the history of Haryana and the arrival of the British, in which the events that happened before and during 1857 would be depicted in a virtual way.
In this illustration, when and how the revolt of 1857 started in Ambala before Meerut and the plan of this revolution will be made known to the visitors. In this regard, various documents during 1857 are being collected, which will also be displayed. Apart from this, a documentary will also be prepared about Haryana in which the stories and events of 1857 revolution in different cities of Haryana will be shown in a virtual way.

During the meeting, the Home Minister said that the people of Haryana are brave and during 1857, the people of Haryana had fought the British by turning their tools as weapons. He said that during 1857, the British had called these people of Haryana as Kali Paltan i.e. the people of Haryana had planned to carry out this revolution in a planned manner.
In this regard also he directed the officials that the courage and spirit of the people of that time should be displayed in the memorial in a lively manner so that the visitors can get complete information about the sacrifice of their freedom fighters.
It was informed in the meeting that information about various cities of India, where the trumpet of revolution was blown during the revolution of 1857 will also be given. Apart from this, information about atrocities, side-effects etc. will also be made available to the people in a virtual way.
*Open air theater will also be built*
It was also informed in the meeting that an open air theatre is also being built in the memorial in which the achievements of the Haryana government will be shown and there will also be a provision for light and sound show.In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works Department, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General Information, Public Relations and Languages, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Additional Director of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Kuldeep Saini and officers of various departments attended the meeting. Celebrities from the art world were also present.
