As a part of Public Outreach Programme of UT of JK Government, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta today held a Public Outreach Camp under “Weekly Block Divas” programme here at Panchayat Ghar Kartholi, Bari-Brahmana and listened to the issues and Development aspirations of Public representatives as well as the locals.
The DC directed officers to take requisite action on the public grievances in a time bound manner. She laid emphasis upon maintaining close coordination with PRI members so that public issues are addressed immediately especially in case of drinking water, power supply and Ration supply.
Among the issues raised on the occasion included, non availability of drinking water, maintenance of power supply lines and roads especially in the ongoing monsoon season, besides other issues related to the Revenue Department, social welfare etc.
The Deputy Commissioner directed district officers to take immediate corrective measures, including water tankers supply to areas facing shortage and regular monitoring of power supply. She also assured the locals to take up other grievances at appropriate platforms.
Meanwhile, the DC distributed Land Pass books among the beneficiaries and exhorted locals to fully reap benefits under Digital governance and engendered services.The DC also informed the public about a series of campaigns being run in the district including Har Ghar Tiranga, Digital Week, Bijli Mahotsav and appealed to them to participate in these programmes with full enthusiasm.
