District Administration Ramban, on day 2 of Digital J&K week, intensified awareness activities to sensitize the people about the government’s financial, social, development and banking sector schemes and provision of online mode for applying the same.

Chief Planning Officer,  AD  FCS&CA, ALC, CAO, CHO, Bankers,  Lead District Manager, DIO NIC, PRIs, and several other senior officers attended the programme.On the occasion, the ADDC flagged off vehicles to different blocks of the district to educate the people about 209 online services being provided by the different departments and banking sector to them.

During the awareness session officers of CSC, Agriculture, Horticulture, Labour, Banks, FCS&CA, Revenue, and other departments gave detailed presentations on all online services pertaining to their respective departments.

 Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said that the Digital J&K week will showcase citizen-centric IT initiatives that have helped in bringing about greater transparency in governance and ease of living for citizens.  

After flagging off the vehicles, the ADDC said that the objective of venturing the Digital J&K vehicle was to promote the e-Services, made available by the Government to the general masses. The PRIs also shared their experiences about the benefits of the digital mode services.

Sarpanch Maitra, Mohinder Singh said that the shifting of financial transactions, tendering of construction works and planning on digital mode has evolved a  transparent system and provided much needed  relief to the general public. 

Later, the Education Department  conducted a quiz competition in which three teams of Government Model Higher Secondary, Ramban participated.The students of Government Boys Middle School, Maitra, and other schools also presented a cultural bonanza.
