The Department of Health Bandipora on Saturday organised a day-long training programme on Hospital Management Information System (HMI).The training programme was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, M Ashraf Hakak. Chief Medical Officer Bandipora Dr. Bashir Ahmad Khan was also present on the occasion.

The programme was attended by District Immunization Officer Bandipora, Doctors and Paramedics of the district and was aimed to train Health officials for switching over from Manual data recording to Hospital Management Information System (HMI).The training was imparted by master trainer HMI Vijay.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said that the programme aims to benefit healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of healthcare services to the satisfaction of patients. He said HMI will make the health care delivery system holistic.

Hakak said that the HMI system is Time-saving Technology with improved efficiency by avoiding human errors. HMI makes improved patient care possible and reduces the work of documentation, he added.

Addressing the gathering, the CMO said that HMI is a computer system that helps manage the information related to health care effectively.He said HMI provides a solution for the complications coming from managing all the paperwork of every patient associated with the various departments of hospitalization with confidentiality.CMO urged the general public to cooperate in implementation of the HMI system successfully.
