DC Kishtwar reviews preparations for Digital Week mela celebration

Directs departments to rope in PRIs, Students, locals & field functionaries for generating awareness on online services delivery during the Digital week

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of the line departments to review the preparations for the celebration of Digital mela and Digital week activities  in the district.

At the outset, DC Kishtwar briefed the meeting that with an aim to bring transparency and ease for public, the  Government of UT of Jammu and Kashmir has started Digital Jammu and Kashmir Programme and in this context UT government has launched the Digital week  celebration programme throughout the UT from 25th to 31st July 2022 wherein "Digital Mela" will be orgainsed from 25th July to 27th July 2022 in all the districts to generate mass awareness about the online services delivery of various departments.

In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner further gave a detailed insight about the various earmarked activities under "digital week" and "Digital mela"  to be conducted in the district which includes awareness regarding Aap ki Zameen Aap ki Nigrani,AapKa Mobile Hamara Daftar (UMANG),DigiLocker etc.

The DC enjoined upon the officers of Revenue, RDD, Labour, Health, DIC, Banks,  CSC and other concerned departments to work in synergy and intensify the awareness regarding online services during the week among the masses.

While discussing the  modalities for successful  conduct of the digi-Mela in the district, the team constituting DPO, AO DC office and ALC headed by ADC Kishtwar was asked to put in place all the elaborate arrangements at venue  Mini Secretariat Kishtwar well in time for successful conduct of  programme.

Besides, all the Departments were asked to ensure the setting-up of their departmental stalls in the venue to conduct face to face demonstration of  online services provided by their respective departments to masses/participants during Mela.

Further, DIO NIC and DIO DIPR were asked to conduct Information Education Communication IEC activities during the week to generate mass awareness about the online services among the citizens and the netizens of Kishtwar.

Besides CEO Kishtwar was directed to ensure  that students from all schools participate in the symposium and painting Competition at GDC Kishtwar.Besides he was instructed to ensure that the awareness regarding all the designated  online services provided by different departments of UT J&K are disseminated  to students in morning assembly in their respective schools of district during the Digital week celebrations.

Among others, ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal,  SDM Chatroo/ADC (in charge) Inderjeet Singh Parihar, Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal,ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma, DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal, DIO DIPR/ALC Amit Kumar , AO DC office Imran Ahmed Kichloo, DIO NIC Pankaj Kumar besides concerned District officers remained present in the meeting.
