DIPR hosts cultural programme on Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav at Udhampur

As part of the  celebration of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav(India@75), Department of Information & Public Relations Cultural Wing, Jammu, in collaboration with District Information Centre, Udhampur on Friday organized a cultural programme in the premises of District Jail Complex.

Assistant Superintendent of District Jail, Udhampur Jagpaul Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.While addressing the programme, the chief guest hailed the information department for presenting a beautiful cultural programme on Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and to mark the 75 years of India’s Independence. 

He appreciated the efforts of the Information Department for creating awareness through the cultural activities & urged the Department to hold more such events in the near future.Artists of the Cultural Wing Jammu and District Information Centre, Udhampur namely Mohinder Kumar, Balbir Singh, Kamal Kumar, Surjeet Singh, Rakesh Kumar and Banti Kumar presented a musical programme featuring patriotic and Folk songs which was highly appreciated by everyone and round of applause.

The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Suresh Kumar.Among others, Assistant Cultural Officer, Bal Brishan and other officials of the Information Department, besides staff members and jail inmates were present on the occasion.
