Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Krittika Jyotsna today visited block Majalta and listened to scores of public issues and demands at a public outreach programme held under the weekly Block diwas Programme. BDC Chairman, Dina Nath; DDC Councilor Majalta, Amit Sharma; Sarpanches, Panches and general public of adjoining panchayats projected several demands and problems being faced by them.
They sought sanctioning of KV School at Majalta, meeting shortage of drinking water in the area, Providing Ambulance facility, filling up of vacant posts in health and education departments, registration of left out eligible beneficiaries under PMAY, payment of pending material liabilities under MGNREGA, meeting shortage of staff in HSS Majalta, Maintenance of road from Majalta morh to Majalta, Upgradation of GMS Shatrari to High School, organising awareness camps, construction of bridge over local nallah at Majalta, implementation of JJM, streamlining of public delivery system in govt offices, renovation of PMGSY and PWD roads etc.
The DC gave a patient hearing to the public issues and passed on-spot directions to the concerned departments for redressing of public grievances at the earliest. She assured the general public that more such public outreach camps would be organized e to solve the genuine problems of the people at their doorsteps.
BDC Chairman, DDC member and general public thanked DC for holding a public outreach camp in the area.Later, the DC visited Mansar and inspected Mali hut and other Back to village, ADP works being executed by RDD. The DC directed the department to expedite the progress for time bound completion of the works.
