DDC Kishtwar reviews performance of RDD under Capex Budget

Sets July 25 as deadline for completing tendering; seeks timeline completion of works to avoid lapse of funds

To review the progress of ongoing works under District Capex Budget 2022-23 and Spill-Over-Schemes (SOS), District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of Officers and field functionaries of the Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj here.

At the outset, the District Panchayat Officer (DPO) gave a block-wise briefing about the developmental works projected under District Capex Budget for current financial year and Spill over schemes (SOS) of previous years undertaken under the RDD sector in the district.

The District Development Commissioner directed XEN, REW to complete the tendering process of left out works by July 25, 2022.Besides, he exhorted the BDOs to take speedy measures to ensure all the works projected under District Capex Budget for the current financial year were completed well in time to avoid the lapse of funds in view of the short period of working season in hilly areas.

The department was directed to complete all pending SOS works by ending July, 2022.The DC asked the executing agencies to gear up men and machinery to meet the targets within the given timeframe.The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal; DPO, Sunil Bhutyal; Executive Engineer REW, Parshotam Kumar, besides all  BDOs, AEEs and JEs.
