To listen and redress the grievances of common masses, Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey today convened a Public Outreach Camp here at Royal Farms, Chadwal in Marheen block.During the camp, PRIs projected the issues of public importance and sought immediate redress of the same.
Issues ranging from non functioning of tubewell at Chack Changa, restoration of SRTC Bus service to connect border villages, completion of Karol-Pahadpur GRF Road, commissioning of CSC at Sanji Morh, submission of DPR for KV School, filling of vacant post of Technician for Ultrasonography at CHC Hiranagar, resolving the problem of low voltage and unscheduled power cuts, up-gradation of receiving station Chhan Rorian etc.
Besides, demand for mini secretariat building was also raised by the locals. The demand for opening of public library and provision of a guest house for Tehsil Marheen was also projected by concerned PRIs.After giving a patient hearing, the DC directed departments to ensure on spot resolution of the grievances raised by the people.
Responding to the demands, the Deputy Commissioner said the issues requiring intervention of district administration shall be disposed of in time bound manner, while those involving policy matters shall be taken up at appropriate Forum.
The Department of ICDS and Animal Husbandry set up stalls at the venue of Public Outreach Camp to aware the people about their schemes and programmes.SDM Hiranagar, XEN PWD, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Officers of various departments, Panches, Sarpanches and a large number of people were also present.
Similarly, Block Diwas proceedings were also held at Basohli and Billawar sub divisions.
