Guru Nanak Dev University students have have been placed at high packages in multinational companies. The highest salary package of Rs. 44.00 Lakhs per annum (LPA) has been offered by Amazon company and many other MNCs.To mark this occasion, a special meeting of University recuited students was organized in the office of the Vice Chancellor. Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor congratulated and interacted these students in the presence of Prof. S.S. Behl, Dean AcademicAffairs, Prof. K.S. Kahlon, Registrar, Prof. Hardip Singh, OSD to Vice Chancellor, Prof. Anish Dua, Dean Student's Welfare, Head, Computer Engineering and Technology Department and Dr. Amit Chopra, Asstt. Placement Officer.
Pawandeep Kaur, student of B.Tech. CSE, GNDU Amritsar has been selected by Amazon company. The pay package includes fix salary of Rs. 33.26 Lakh per annum and 143 RSU (Restricted Stock Units) of the company.Aastha has been placed in Walmart at Rs. 23.39 LPA. Rohit Oberoi has been selected by Josh Technology at Rs. 18.00 LPA. 5 Students Pranshu Sharma, Sanjoli, Sachnoor Kaur, Simranjeet Kaur and Akshit Sahore have been currently undergoing internship at Rs. 50,000 per month at Zscaler company and their confirmation will happen in the end of July at a package of Rs. 17.50 LPA. The above students belong to B.Tech. CSE and B.Tech. ECE courses.
MBA and B.Com. students have also got good packages. Devesh, Vimal Gupta, Ruhail Singh, Rahul Narang, Anshik Mehra and Ishaan Singh have been selected by Byju’s at Rs. 10.00 LPA. The department has organized 84 placement drives in the academic session 2021-22 for the job placement of the students. Till now, a total of 981 students have been placed from Batch passing out in academic session 2022.
These students will join their jobs in July, 2022 after passing out their respective courses.Apart from above, multinational companies like Capgemini, Accenture, Amdocs, Wipro, TCS, KPMG, Newgen, PwC and Nagarro have recruited Engineering and MCA students at attractive salary packages.
MBA, Sciences and Life Sciences students have been placed in companies like Aakash Institute, Jubilant Biosys, ICICI Securities, ICICI Prudential, Bandhan Bank, HDFC Life, HDFC Bank, Khanna Paper Mills, Gujarat Gas and TCS with handsome salary packages. Many reputed National and Multinational companies are hiring students in big numbers from GNDU, Amritsar and it’s regional campuses.
Similarly, Food Tech. students have been selected by companies like ITC Food, Haldiram’s and Fare Labs. B.Tech. (Textile Processing Technology) students have got offers from companies like Vardhman Textiles, Aarti International and Musclestadt Sporternaerung.The average pay package jumped from Rs. 5.16 Lakh per annum in academic session 2020-21 to Rs. 6.37 Lakh per annum in academic session 2021-22.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu congratulated the students and faculty members for this great success. He personally interacted with all the students, who have been placed in different multinational companies and discussed various points regarding their career progression and blessed them with huge success in their professional life.
The selected students also interacted with the higher authorities of the university. They were quite delighted on getting the attractive packages offered by the multinationals and thanked university for providing such great opportunities in building their career.
