With an aim to reduce financial burden of people, Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann took yet another historic decision and announced to waive off arrears of electricity bills pending till December 31, 2021, of all households.

Addressing a press conference here, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s Ropar MLA Dinesh Chadha said that there were some confusion among people that arrears of upto 2 KW were only waived off, however, CM Mann considering woes of common people, has decided to waive off unpaid electricity bills of all connections till December 31, 2021.

Attacking opposition for filling their own coffers with government’s funds for decades, AAP MLA said, “AAP is working for the welfare of people while previous government looted Punjab for decades.

We are fulfilling all our poll-promises and now Punjabis are getting free 300 power units per month. CM Mann also waive off arrears of electricity bills pending till December 31 last year of all households.”

Reiterating that the AAP government is committed to the overall development of Punjab, MLA Chadha said that all the remaining guarantees made by AAP to people of Punjab will be fulfilled soon.
