DE&CC Kishtwar, GDC organise Job Fair cum Awareness Programme for Youth

District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) today organised a one-day Job Fair cum Awareness, Counselling Programme in coordination with Government Degree College   for the Job seekers, here at the Conference Hall of GDC Kishtwar.

The aim of the programme was to counsel youth of the district regarding current and upcoming job vacancies being notified by different HEP companies, motivate and inform youth about different Government self-employment schemes and provide them guidance regarding civil services exams.

 The programme also facilitated on-spot registration of job seekers & students.The programme started with the welcome address by the host AD, Employment Amit Kumar, followed by a speech by GM AFCON Ltd. Naseer Masoodi on different opportunities for youth in the private sector.

A Surprise Quiz was also organised for the participants.Representatives from Agriculture ,Horticulture, Animal Husbandry Departments, Women Development Corp. DIC Kishtwar, KVIB & Megha Eng. & Infra. Ltd spoke in detail about different self-employment & Scholarship schemes for job seekers & students.

The Representative from MEIL counselled job seekers about upcoming vacancies being notified by the company.Towards the end, the gathering was addressed by the Guest of Honor Prof Anirudh Sharma (Principal GDC Kishtwar) & Ashraf Ah. (GM DIC).

They encouraged the participant job seekers & students to go for self employment ventures by taking benefits from different govt. schemes. They motivated youth to prepare & plan well for the upcoming job market in the District.

The programme concluded with felicitation of Guests/speakers & students. The coordinators of the programme Sonika Sen (AP GDC , NSS Coordinator) &  Waseem Hassan Khan (Employment Officer, DECC  ) formally thanked the guests, speakers, officers/officials from different dept. & HEP companies & job seekers/students.
