The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary today visited National Highway (NH-44) in Awantipora and Pampore to take stock of way side facilities to ensure smooth conduct of Shri Amartnath Ji Yatra (SAJY-2022) commencing from June 30th.
The DC passed on spot instructions for providing basic facilities like medical aid centres, Critical care 108 ambulance services, ample stocks of petrol and diesel besides adequate parking and toilet facilities along the National Highway falling within the jurisdiction of Pulwama district.
On the occasion, DC directed Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora to ensure all facilities and amenities for commuters particularly Yatris are adequately available.He directed CMO, Pulwama to equip PHC Awantipora with all facilities so that in case of any emergency no Yatri faces any inconvenience.
He also passed spot instructions to all concerned officers to remain alert and redress any issue pertaining to Yatra with promptness and agility.The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioners of Tral and Awantipora, CMO Pulwama besides other officers.
