The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today distributed awards among the best performing schools under Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar (SVP) 2021-22 District Level Award, at a function held at Mini Secretariat, here.
The award ceremony was organized by the Education Department in collaboration with District Administration Shopian.On the occasion, the DC highlighted the importance of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation in and around educational institutions and asked the heads of the institutions to make Swachta as part of their school activities.
He said the awards function is a step forward to encourage school administrations for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.The DC distributed awards among Heads of Institutions of 25 schools for showing best performance in maintaining cleanliness, sanitation and proper hygiene.
The Chief Planning Officer, Shopian, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana; Chief Education Officer, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed; ARTO, AD Planning, Zonal Education Officers, Principals, besides concerned officers were present.
