Three-day Migratory Pulse Polio Campaign will be organised from June 19 to 21 under which 155 mobile teams have also been deputed to cover all the district.Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Vishesh Sarangal while presiding over the meeting with the officials of the Health Department and other district task force members directed the officers to carry out the campaign in a smooth manner.

He said that under the campaign door-to-door polio  drops to be given to the children from 0 to 5 years of age.He directed the officials of the health department to diligently fulfill their responsibility to create awareness among the people about pulse polio so that maximum area could be covered.

Health department officials has informed that 45 supervisors to ensure the polio drops for 14,221 children in 96 high risk areas.Deputy Commissioner also said that 155 mobile teams of health workers have been formed to carry out the campaign. 

These teams will visit slums, slum areas, kilns, camps of Tapri residents, factories, railway stations, bus stands etc. and give polio drops to children from 0 to 5 years.He also directed the officials of the health department to ensure routine immunization by setting up special camps in the district.

On this occasion, DIO Dr. Dr. Randeep Singh, SMO Sandeep Dhawan, SMO Dr. Jaswinder Kumari, SMO Dr. Dr. Mohanpreet Singh, SMO Dr. Ravinder Pal, SMO Rajiv Parasar, Deputy Mass Media Officer Sharandeep Singh, Tarun Kalsi, BEE Sushma etc. were present.
