British High Commissioner to India visited the Guru Nanak Dev University

A delegation led by Alexander Ellis, British High Commissioner to India visited the Guru Nanak Dev University, here today. The High Commissioner addressed the students and faculty members of the University and sought ideas for the future UK and India collaboration.

Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor presented the priorities of Guru Nanak Dev University in education, research, and innovation. He also spoke about the new initiatives taken by the Guru Nanak Dev University.

Earlier, on reaching the campus, Prof. Sandhu welcomed Mr. Alexander Ellis. Prof. S.S. Behl, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Karanjeet Singh Kahlon, Registrar, Prof. Hardeep Singh, OSD to Vice Chancellor, Prof. Anish Dua, Dean Student’s Welfare and other senior officials were present on this occasion.

The High Commissioner also interacted with a group of students of Guru Nanak Dev University. Before that, the British High Commissioner visited MYAS GNDU Department of Sports Sciences and Medicine, Department of Bio-Technology and Department of Agriculture. 

Ellis also informed about sports facilities given by the University.Ellis visited the research laboratories of Neurophysiology, Motion Analysis, Human Performance, Sports Psychology, Exercise Physiotherapy, Kinanthropometry, Exercise Physiology, Isotonic and VO2 calculation of the MYAS GNDU Department of Sports Sciences and Medicine.

While interacting with students in the University's Syndicate Room, the British High Commissioner to India asked the students about the changes they would like to see in the world in the next ten years. While talking to the students, he was interested in knowing the perspectives of students.
