The District Administration Kulgam today organized Mega Block Diwas in three blocks of the district viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D. H.Pora to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.

The programme witnessed overwhelming response from PRIs and general public especially from youth who participated to highlight issues and grievances confronting their areas for early redressal.

To take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat remained available at Kulgam where he listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.

Officers from District Administration were also present during the block diwas.People from Dardgund, Palnoo Behibagh,Awhatoo, Yaripora, Qaimoo, Chawalgam, Nillow,Aadpora,  Pombay and other areas participated in this grievance redressal camp and apprised the DC about their issues and grievances.

A delegation from Awhatoo demanded widening and development of Awhatoo-Ereh road and also demanded development of Playfield in the village.People from Dradgund demanded bore wells in the area.

A delegation from Palnoo demanded development and repairs of the irrigation canal.The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on spot and issues required to be redressed at higher level, were also noted.

Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Showkat Ahmad Rather; Assistant Commissioner Development, Mohammad Imran Khan and other officers were also present on the occasion.Meanwhile grievances redressal camps were also held at Block D. H. Pora and Block Devsar where ADDC and SDM listened to issues and grievances of people for redressal.
