Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa today inspected the protection works at Sardhal Nallah Check Dam during a visit to the area.
Superintendent Engineer Sumit Puri along with senior officers of PHE and Flood Control department accompanied the DC during the inspection.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the department to submit the DPR of the works related to the check dam by tomorrow. The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the mining activities and directed the concerned officials to take measures to prevent illegal extraction by setting up check nakas at all entry points.
She also directed the concerned official to expedite the pace of works to complete the same within the stipulated time frame.
