Under week long campaign of Shafaaf Bandipora, various activities related to awareness regarding cleanliness and environment protection were carried out in educational institutions  across the district. The programme also witnessed awareness related to  SVEEP.

Today, the programme was organized in all Higher Secondary Schools of the district during which seminars titled  "Only one Earth- Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature '' were conducted.The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed flagged-off a rally of school children from Mini Secretariat Bandipora to spread the message of importance of cleanliness and preserving the environment.

The rally passed via Nishat Park  and culminated at the main market Bandipora. The flag off ceremony at the mini secretariat was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Waseem Raja, Dy. District Election Officer Bandipora Syed Altaf Hussain Mosavi, Chief Education Officer Bandipora, G.M Lone, District Nodal Officer SVEEP  Mohammad Rafiq Parray and other officers and officials from Administration. 

Besides school children from various schools participated in the rally. Speaking on the occasion, the DC highlighted the importance of the environment in our daily life. He said the District Administration has launched the Shafaaf Bandipora campaign in order to educate people and carry out cleanliness drives across the district.

He said the week-long shafaaf Bandipora campaign shall continue in all educational institutions with the focus on awareness related to environment protection besides conducting cleanliness drives involving the public.
