District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss the modalities for the formulation of action plan under the newly introduced Samridh Seema Yojana for the financial year 2022-23.

The meeting discussed works of different natures pertaining to different departments to be executed in the border belts of the district.Major thrust was laid on creation of community infrastructure to benefit maxim population of the border areas.

Speaking at the meeting, the DDC reiterated the Government’s commitment to the goal of providing a better quality of life to the citizens living in border areas.He asked the concerned officers to formulate the plan in consultation with the PRIs and in consonance to the aspirations and needs of the border areas.

It was also decided in the meeting that the Block Development Officers should submit a plan within one day as per the prescribed ceiling.The DDC also asked the Chief Medical Officer and CEO Education to submit the proposals for the augmentation of the health and educational infrastructure in the border belts, while the concerned officer from the PWD was asked to find out the possibility of roads which can be constructed to ensure better connectivity to the border areas.

Officers present in the meeting included  ADDC, Pawan Kumar; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; PO ICDS, Kartar Singh; CEO Education, Shailesh Kumari; CMO, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar; DIO, Narinder Kumar and BDOs.
