The district administration today held a review meeting to finalize the arrangements for the Shobha Yatra scheduled for June 13 to mark the Prakash Utsav of Satguru Kabir Ji.Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Major Amit Sareen along with senior officers of line departments issued detailed instructions to organize this mega event in a seamless manner and rich religious sentiments.
He also asked the police officers to chalk out comprehensive security arrangements besides a route plan to facilitate the commuters on city roads. The ADC directed the Municipal Corporation officials to ensure proper cleanliness, beautification and decoration at specific points besides the route starting from Satguru Kabir Ji Temple at Bhargo camp followed by Dr. BR Ambedkar Chowk, Bhagwan Valmiki Chowk (Jyoti Chowk), Basti Adda Chowk, Football Chowk, Veer Babrik Chowk, Model House, Guru Ravidass Chowk, which would culminate at starting point.
He also directed the PSPCL officials to make necessary arrangements for uninterrupted power supply during the function and dangling wires must be removed immediately. The health department was asked to deploy special medical teams on the occasion. ADC assured all the representatives of religious organizations present in the meeting that the district administration would make all the adequate arrangements to pay befitting tribute to Satguru Kabir ji.Prominent amongst others present in the meeting included DCP Aditya, SDM Balbir Raj Singh, Rajan Angural and officials from civil and police departments.
