Amreen Bhat, a TV actress from Jammu and Kashmir, was killed by militants on Wednesday (26 May 2022). Terrorists fired at them in the Chadoora area of central Kashmir's Budgam district, injuring her 10-year-old nephew. If reports are to be believed then it reads, "At about 8 pm, terrorists fired upon a woman, identified as Amreen, near her residence at Hushroo in the Chadoora area of the district.” “At around 1955 hrs, terrorists fired upon one lady Amreen Bhat D/o Khazir Mohd Bhat R/o Hushroo Chadoora at her home. She was shifted to a hospital in an injured condition where doctors declared her dead. Her 10-year-old nephew who was also at home received a bullet injury on his arm," The Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
According to a tweet from the Kashmir Zone Police, the event occurred at about 7.55 p.m. She was rushed to the hospital, where physicians informed her that she had died. Her nephew, on the other hand, was shot in the arm.Three terrorists from the banned terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba are reported to be engaged in the incident, according to the police officials. The Chadoora neighbourhood has been cordoned off as part of a search operation, according to the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Following the filing of a case, an investigation is underway. Terrorists had targeted the officer earlier on Tuesday (24 May 2022), injuring his 9-year-old daughter.
Meanwhile, this is the same town where Kashmiri Pandit government employee Rahul Bhat was killed on May 12.
