State Forest Corporation records sale of Rs. 112 crore

Kewal Singh Pathania, Vice Chairman, Himachal Pradesh State Forest Corporation said here today that Corporation had record sale of 81541 cubic meter wood with an amount of Rs. 112 crore during the year 2013-14 as compared to Rs. 105 crore during the  year 2012-13.  Shri Pathania was presiding over a meeting of Marketing Wing of the Corporation here today.Pathania said that sale of wood had been 15 percent more than the rates fixed between January to March this year. He said that Corporation would make concerted efforts to increase the sale of wood so that income of the Corporation could be enhanced.  He directed the officials to improve the working of Sale Depots. Detailed discussions were held in the meeting to improve the financial position of the Corporation and it was decided to organize a meeting with wood purchasers to invite suggestions from them. Shri J.S. Walia, Managing Director, State Forest Development Corporation and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
