Venkaiah Naidu expresses gratitude to all parties for unanimous election of the Lok Sabha Speaker

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Shri Venkaiah Naidu has thanked all the political parties for electing the Speaker of the Lok Sabha unanimously. Mr. Venkaiah Naidu said that the new Lok Sabha Speaker Mrs. Sumitra Mahajan is an able Parliamentarian. He expressed confidence that the Parliament will conduct its proceedings smoothly and meet the expectations of the people. Mr. Venkaiah Naidu added that the Government is prepared to discuss each and every issue in the House and he sought cooperation of all Members in running the Parliament. Speaking in the Parliament today, the Minister said that the House has set a record by swearing in 510 Members in a day.
