As a part of Civic Action Programme of J&K police, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed in presence of SSP Bandipora, Mohmad Zahid on Thursday flagged-off 150 students of the district for week long Bharat Darshan Tour.CO CRPF 3rd Bn and other senior officers of police were also present on the occasion.The tour has been organized by Bandipora Police under Civic Action Programme (CAP) wherein all the boarding lodging and transport facilities have been provided by them. Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that Bharat Darshan tour that has been organized by Bandipora police is primarily aimed at providing opportunity to the youth of the district to understand the togetherness of India inspite of immense diversity.
Dr. Owais advised the students to avail the opportunity by taking best out of this tour as they will be visiting places of historical importance, rich heritage and culture to know about different traditional values and culture of the various parts of the country.SSP Bandipora while addressing the students, said that it is an effort of J&K police to expose our youth to exciting tourist spots of the country, historical places and other famous workplaces, industrial units and IT sectors. It would make them aware of Art and Culture, people and rich diversity of our country, he added.The SSP advised the participants to imbibe in them greatness of the country and to take full advantage of the opportunity and collect memories for life during the tour besides wished them a fun-filled, safe and life changing tour.
