Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Pandey today visited Billawar Sub Division and paid obeisance at Mata Sukrala Ji Shrine.The DC was accompanied by ADC Billawar and other officers of Billawar sub division, where he reviewed arrangements and facilities in place for the devotees, besides inspected works being executed by different agencies to revamp the area near the shrine.He said the area has huge potential for religious tourism and thus needs to be equipped with amenities for the pleasant experience of devotees coming from different parts of the Jammu and Kashmir and other states of the country.
The DC also took stock of sanitation and cleanliness around the Shrine and directed the concerned officers to maintain cleanliness besides making sufficient arrangements in place to facilitate the pilgrims thronging the shrine.The DC also inspected the area identified for creating a Parking facility for the pilgrims arriving at the shrine and pressed for early completion of the works so as to make the area congestion free.
