District Level Committee on Forest Rights Act on Tuesday cleared 34 FRA claims at its meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal.Officers present in the meeting included DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh; DFO Nowshera, Neelima; ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; ADC Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Samyal; ADC Kalakote, Krishan Lal; ADC Koteranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; SDM Thanamandi, Vikas Dhar; ACD, Vijay Kumar; ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed; ExEn Jal Shakti Nowshera, Bashir Mohammad; AD Planning, Bansi Lal and other concerned officers.

The Committee, after a threadbare discussion and scrutiny of all the cases put up in the meeting, cleared 34 claims under Forest Rights Act.Speaking in the meeting, the DC asked the Stakeholder departments to make dedicated efforts to ensure that no single eligible beneficiary was left out in the district without availing the necessary benefits under the Act.He also asked for spreading mass awareness about the benefits provided to the Forest Dwellers under the Act so that maximum beneficiaries are covered within the shortest possible time.
