Punjab Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to two candidates on compassionate ground.During the brief function held at her office in Civil Secretariat, Dr. Baljit Kaur wished them success in their career and bright future. She said that these appointments will help in mitigating the woes of the aggrieved families and help them to lead their lives with dignity.She said that she had already asked the department to expedite the process of filling the posts meant for compassionate appointments. 

She informed that Sharandeep Kaur and Noorpreet Singh today got the job letters, while recruitment process for other vacancies is going on full swing. Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the state government has launched a gigantic recruitment drive to fill 26,754 posts in various departments.Prominent among others who were present on the occasion, Director Social Security Arvindpal Singh Sandhu, Joint Director Women & Child Development Gurjinder Singh Maur.
