Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today visited block Katra and conducted a grievances redressal camp at Aghar Jitto to assess the response of the public towards developmental initiatives being implemented by the Administration in the Area.Deputy Commissioner also listened to the grievances being raised by the PRIs and locals and simultaneously issued directions to the concerned quarters for early redress of the public issues.The camp was attended by BDC Chairman, Sham Lal, DDC Councillor, Nirmala Devi, ADDC Jyoti Salathia,CHO, Brij Vallabh, CAO, Sudhir Singh, ACP, Umesh,CAHO, Abdul Majid, DSHO, P.P Sagotra, besides other district officers along with PRIs , BDOs, Sarpanchs and Panchs.
The PRIs and Public demanded construction of campus Building for Degree College in Katra instead of Panthal, posting of floriculture Mali at Vishwakarma park Kundrorian, provision of piped water supply to Purana Daroor panchayat to mitigate the sufferings of women folk, who have to get water from far off areas, provision of electricity poles for Agar Jitto Panchayat to improve power distribution system, Execution work of K V campus at the earliest, Up-gradation of High School Kanjli to Higher Secondary level.After listening to Public grievances, the DC addressed all the important issues one by one. She also motivated the public to avail the benefits of government schemes meant for their socio-economic development.Scores of issues regarding Water, Power, Road, Transport, Ration, Nutrition, Education, Health services were resolved on the spot after face to face deliberation with District Officers and for several other issues DDC fixed timeline. Reviewing the development works, Babila Rakwal directed the concerned authorities to complete the ongoing developmental projects in a stipulated time frame.
