Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today convened a meeting of officers to review the Power supply scenario and infrastructure projects coming up in the district.The PDD team gave a detailed presentation on the schemes/ projects under rural, urban and industrial packages.While reviewing the ongoing works undertaken by the different wings of the department, Rahul Pandey stressed upon all concerned officers to expedite and ensure their timely completion, especially the projects involving construction/augmentation of Receiving Stations.He also directed concerned officers to put in place proper mechanism to identify the bottlenecks and ensure their resolution at local level. He also enjoined upon the concerned engineers to flag the issues requiring intervention by district administration.
The DC Rahul Pandey impressed upon the officers to gear up the contractors to ensure timely completion of works and fix the responsibility on officials for delay.It was also informed by the concerned Officers that work of new sub-stations, installation of additional transformers and augmentation works are going on at full pace in the district.During the meeting, the DC reviewed the progress of works taken up under District Capex & UT Capex, B2V3, PRI Grants, PMAGY and PMDP.The DC directed the officers of JPDCL and STD to ensure early completion of all ongoing works so as to improve the power availability scenario in the district.The meeting was attended by Superintendent Engineer JPDCL; XEN Electric Div; XEN Project Wing Jammu-Kathua, XEN STD Div-III JPDCL Kathua & CPO Kathua.
