Blood is a substance that has not yet been made in the laboratory. Therefore no value of blood can be fixed as blood donated by us can be given to a person at the time of accident, operation or any other illness. The fear of donating blood is the result of being ignorant of the truth behind it.Blood obtained through voluntary blood donation is the safest. Blood can be donated to pregnant mothers and other critically ill people with blood diseases such as hemophilia / thalassemia.
Keeping this in view , District Hoshiarpur Police in collaboration with District Medical team from Civil Hopital Hoshiarpur organised a on e day blood donation camp at Police Lines Hoshiarpur. SSP Hoshiarpur Sh. Sartaj Singh Chahal along with SMO Hoshiarpur and DMO Hoshiarpur hosted the camp. Cabinet Minister Sh. Brahm Shankar Jimpa Ji arrived as the chief guest at the venue and reviewed the arrangements. Actively Participating in blood donation camp 37 police personnels including SP, DSPs and others donated their blood to inspire and encourage people to come forward and donate blood.
