Protests were staged across Punjab on Thursday at the invitation of BJP Punjab President Ashwani Sharma to convey the voice of the people disturbed by the recent power cuts in Punjab to the government.  Meanwhile, a strong protest was staged outside the Mohali DC office under the leadership of BJP district president Sushil Rana.BJP state general secretary Subhash Sharma was also specially present at the protest.

He was accompanied by Sanjeev Vashisht, a state executive member contesting from Mohali on a BJP ticket.  During the protest, BJP workers holding fans in their hands described the state of power system in Punjab.  Meanwhile, Sushil Rana said that at present there were 12 to 14 hour power cuts all over Punjab.  Due to which the life of common people has become difficult.  The BJP leadership warned the Punjab government that if the power situation for the people of Punjab did not improve, the struggle would be intensified by the BJP.

The government had said electricity was free or electricity free

Addressing the gathering, BJP state general secretary Subhash Sharma said that it was not clear whether the Aam Aadmi Party had promised free power to Punjab before the elections or promised power free.  He said that the government which came to power by making false promises to the people was forcing the common man to cry for power.  He said that the government which claims to eradicate corruption has committed the biggest corruption by selling Rajya Sabha tickets.

If people know how to sit on the throne, they also know how to bring it to the floor

BJP state executive member Sanjeev Vashisht said that the people of Punjab had brought the Aam Aadmi Party to power by issuing a big fatwa.  But after the formation of the government, these people may have forgotten that those who can sit on the throne overnight can bring them back to the floor in one fell swoop.  Therefore, the government should at least try to fulfill the false promises made to the people.

Putting his feet on the turban of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Bhagwant Mann reached the Chief Minister's chair

During the protest, senior BJP leader and Punjabi singer Jassi Jasraj said that Bhagwant Mann had won the Chief Minister's seat by putting his foot on the turban of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh.  He said that where Punjabi is brave there is also emotion.  That is why Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann have come to power by making false promises to Punjabis.  But perhaps these people are unaware that if anyone breaks the trust of Punjabis even once, then Punjabis have not faced them all their lives.

The BJP leaders were present at the protest

Present on the occasion were BJP state general secretary Subhash Sharma, district president Sushil Rana, state executive member Sanjeev Vashisht, senior BJP leader and Punjabi artist Jassi Jasraj, senior BJP leader and former CM's OSD Lakhwinder Kaur Garcha, Sanjeev Khanna from Dera Bassi, Kamaldeep Saini Kharar constituency, senior leaders Sukhwinder Singh Goldy, Anil Kumar Guddu, Jaswinder Singh, Rakhi Pathak, Raman Sally, Sanjeev Joshi, Rajiv Sharma, Jaggi Aujla, Sohan Singh, Jaswant Rai Giga, Bhanu Partap Singh and many more BJP workers Were present.
