The Additional Deputy  Commissioner, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani today chaired a meeting of the District/ Sectoral officers to discuss the data furnished by them regarding development of district under Good Governance Index.During the meeting, the ADC informed that the District Good Governance index is being monitored by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir for improving the efficiency across the UT.The data furnished by all the concerned District/Sectoral officers was discussed in detail.The ADC Shopian directed all the District/Sectoral officers to recheck that the data already furnished by them was as per prescribed formats and ensure the submission of final figures by March, 2022.

Simnani said that the index would provide a framework to assess the performance of the district in specific sectors and provide useful information to the district enabling to formulate and implement suitable strategies to improve ease-of-living and service delivery.Earlier, District Statistics and Evaluation Officer gave details about the data of developmental activities achieved so far in the districtAmong others, Chief Planning Officer, Shopian, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, District Statistics & Evaluation Officer and all District/Sectoral officers of various line departments were present in the meeting.
