Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal promised safety to the people of Punjab and said that after the formation of Aam Aadmi Party, security of all the people of Punjab, irrespective of caste or religion, will be AAP government’s responsibility. 3 crore Punjabis will be safe and secure in AAP government. We will not allow politics of any kind on the issue of security of Punjab and Punjabis. The safety of the people of Punjab is paramount to us. People's safety is above our ego. If we have to bow before the Central Government or anyone else for this, we will bow down humbly and ensure the safety of the people of Punjab.On Tuesday, Kejriwal reached Dhuri, the assembly constituency of the party's chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann in Punjab.
Here he met the merchants and businessmen and listened to their problems. Addressing the gathering, Kejriwal said that only an honest government is needed to make Punjab safe and drug-free. In the previous Congress and Akali governments, the transfer-posting of police officials were done in exchange of money. The police person, whose posting will be done by paying lakhs of rupees, will do corruption and sell drugs. We will give honest government to Punjab, will end the tradition of transfer-posting in exchange of bribe. Then this Punjab Police will work with full honesty and make Punjab safe and drug free.Kejriwal assured the traders that when AAP government is formed, we will completely end the Raid Raj and Inspector Raj. Illegal and unnecessary tax burden will be removed. This will increase the business of Punjab and employment opportunities.
Giving the example of Delhi, Kejriwal said that in 2015, the budget of the Delhi government was 25000 crores, we trusted the businessmen and traders and ended the Raid Raj. Today the budget of Delhi government is 70 thousand crores. In Punjab, we will also eliminate corruption and will not impose any new taxes to promote industry-trade. We will target corruption as soon as the government is formed. Will make Punjab's governance system completely corruption free.For the immediate solution of the problems of businessmen and traders, Kejriwal announced that after forming the government, a government body will be formed with the people from all business sectors, which will be headed by the Chief Minister. Through this organization, business people will be able to convey their problems directly to the Chief Minister. These way immediate and effective solutions can be found. Kejriwal appealed the people to vote for Bhagwant Mann and form Aam Aadmi Party government to solve all issues of Punjab.
