Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Chief Ministerial candidate and Member of Parliament Bhagwant Mann campaigned for AAP candidates of Bathinda district, Prof. Baljinder Kaur, Balkar Sidhu, Sukhvir Singh Maisarkhana, Amit Ratan Kotfatta and Jagroop Singh Gill and addressed corner meetings at various places. "The time has come to sweep away 70 years of political corruption from Punjab. Every Punjabi will contribute to clean out the political corruption from the system of Punjab by voting for ‘Jharoo’,” said Mann in his address to the people of Bathinda. On Tuesday, Bhagwant Mann, while addressing corner meetings at various places during the election march, sharply attacked the Badal family. He said that 5 persons from the Badal family were contesting the election including senior Badal Parkash Singh, Sukhbir Singh Badal, Badal family’s son-in-law Adesh Partap Singh Kairon, Sukhbir's brother-in-law Bikram Singh Majithia and Majithia's wife.

Badal family did not field any son or daughter of an ordinary family to contest the elections in Punjab. He said that all Badal family members will lose because people are with Aam Aadmi Party. Bhagwant Mann said that February 20th is an opportunity to create a new history in Punjab. Leaders of Akali Dal (Badal), Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress have been taking turns to loot and beat Punjab. Today Punjab has debt of Rs. 3 lakh crores due to the wrong policies of these traditional political parties and their greed. Now Punjab has to be saved from these traditional parties. He said that Aam Aadmi Party candidates do not have money but they do have the treasure of people's love and support.Bhagwant Mann said that in a house we use broom to sweep the dirt but the symbol of Aam Aadmi Party 'Jharoo' will clean the political filth of the country. Therefore, all the voters should cast their precious votes on the 'Jharoo' and will start honest politics in the country by electing the honest candidates of the Aam Aadmi Party.
