Panchayat Officer Nabbed In A Graft Case

The Vigilance Bureau has today nabbed a Panchayat Officer, red-handed while receiving bribe of Rs. 25,000.Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that Panchayat Officer was nabbed on the complaint of Mr. Piara Singh resident of Village Khurd of District Patitala. The complainant has leveled charges against the Panchayat Officer Pardeep Kumar for demanding bribe for dropping the matter of alleged missing record for the period 2008-2012.He said that on the tip of the complainant a trap was laid by the team of Vigilance Bureau, Patiala, headed by DSP Mr. K.D.Sharma, and the accused Pardeep Kumar, Panchayat Officer Nabha was arrested red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 25,000 from the complainant on behalf of BDPO, Baljit Singh. The accused was apprehended in the presence of two government witnesses and one shadow witness.
