As a part of public outreach programme, today a Police public meeting was held at Police Station Litter which was chaired by SDPO Litter Nisar Ahmad-JKPS accompanied by SHO Police Station Litter & DO Lassipora with Imams, Auqaf members, traders association and respectables of the area by following all Covid-19 SOPs.In the meeting, participants were requested to adhere Covid-19 guidelines, keeping in view the arising 3rd Wave. The chaired officer briefed participants about preventive measures to contain spread of COVID-19.They also requested participants to follow proper SOPs particularly at religious places and also help the Police in maintaining peace and tranquility in the area and in eradicating the menance of drugs.

During the meeting, participants raised various general issues like lack of playground, curtailments of electricity, water scarcity, drug peddling issues etc. Referring to the grievances highlighted by the participants, chaired officers assured them that their grievances related to Police department will be redressed on priority basis and rest of the grievances would be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal and added that police will provide its legal support as and when required for the betterment of the society accordingly.Participants thanked Pulwama Police for conducting such meeting and meeting concluded with vote of thanks.
