Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that 'I will not allow the people of Haryana to shake on the roads for justice and the police will have to act on the complaints of the people'. He said that the police officers and employees will have to improve their functioning as well as bring transparency and all officers will ensure prompt redressal of grievances of people in police stations and outposts as well as justice.Amidst bitter cold and rain, Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij raided Shahbad police station in Kurukshetra district this afternoon. During the investigation of documents in the police station, Home Minister Sh. Vij received many pending complaints of the people and investigation of many cases was not even completed. On this, Home Minister directed to suspend the SHO Inspector Prem Singh of Shahbad police station on the spot. Apart from this, he suspended the SI Ramesh Kumar while the investigation was pending in more than six cases, while in the case registered more than one year old, he directed to suspend the ASI Sudesh Kumar due to accused was not arrested.

Home Minister Anil Vij inpected the Shahbad police station today and opened the cupboards of the police station himself, scrutinized the files and summoned the police officers present on the spot to report the cases pending in the Shahbad police station. During this inspection, after checking the files, it came to the notice that many cases are pending in Shahbad police station for 6 months to 3 years and in many cases action were not taken as per rules. Taking this matter seriously, Home Minister Anil Vij also reprimanded the police officers and directed Kurukshetra district superintendent of police Anshu Singla, who was present on the spot, to investigate the pending cases of the police station and submit the report within 15 days. Along with this, strict orders were also given to investigate each case, he added.

Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that for a long time, cases were pending in Shahbad police station on which no action was being taken. There are many such cases which were not even registered and action is pending in those which are registered. This is more than six months old cases and action is pending in about 33 cases which have not been done. He told that the police station is fully responsible for this negligence of the staff and hence the SHO of the police station, sub-inspector and an ASI have been suspended. He said that the inspection will continue even further and he will not allow the people of Haryana to shake for justice, the police will have to work.Home Minister Anil Vij said that many cases are pending in Shahbad police station for 6 months and many cases are pending for 2-3 years. People are not getting justice from this police station. Whereas it is the endeavor of the government that every person gets justice immediately with a transparent system and the complaints are resolved in a cordial environment to the people in the police stations and the complainants return from the police stations with satisfaction. He said that if any officer behaves negligently then he will not be spared under any circumstances.On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Dr. Anshu Singla, DSP Atma Ram etc. were present.
