Cyber crime police station to be opened in every district of Haryana : Anil Vij

Haryana Home Minister, Anil Vij said that cyber crime police stations will be opened in every district of the state so that the increasing cyber crime can be checked. He said that trained staff will be deployed in cyber crime police stations so that quick action can be implemented. Apart from this, IT professionals will also be appointed in these cyber stations, for which the work of creating posts will be done soon.Sh. Vij was holding a review meeting with senior officers of the Home and Police Departments here today. In this meeting, the decisions and points were picked from the meeting of police officers held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister and Union Home Minister in Lucknow and discussed so that these points could be implemented in Haryana as well.During the meeting, Sh. Vij was apprised that till last December, cyber help desks had been set up in all police stations of the state. Apart from this, cyber crime stations have also been set up in Gurugram, Faridabad and Panchkula commissionerate districts as well as in five IG range districts.

Similarly, during the meeting, Sh. Vij directed the officers to install HD/Nightvision CCTV cameras in every city of the state, including railway stations, bus stands, markets and other important places in crowded areas so that crimes are completely curbed. For this, a plan should be made to install cameras all over the state. In the meeting, the Home Minister was informed that the work of integrating the CCTV cameras installed so far with the Command Centre is being done. Apart from this, cameras installed by private organizations and private individuals have also been called upon to connect them with the command centre. In the meeting, the police officers apprised Sh. Vij that 90 percent of crimes are solved with the help of CCTV footage.In the meeting, regarding the training of police officers and police personnel, Sh. Vij was apprised that now training courses would be conducted for police officers and jawans under the new syllabus as prescribed by the Centre. 

Similarly, Sh. Vij apprised that a centralized data bank is also being created so that the information of any criminal can be easily available.In view of the national security in the meeting, the Home Minister was also informed about the state level preparations, under which it was informed that squad teams have been formed in Gurugram and Faridabad and attention is being paid to crowded places like malls etc. Sh. Vij said that people dealing in drugs also have links with other groups, so such sleeper cells etc. should also be thoroughly investigated.In the meeting, Sh. Vij said that nowadays the trend of drones is increasing rapidly and it can also be a threat to the national security, so the action related to drones will have to be closely monitored from the point of view of security. He directed the officers to identify various places for operating the drones and approval should be obtained for flying drones. It was informed in the meeting that the Central Government has issued Drone Policy-2021 last year related to drones, under which a license will have to be taken for the drone and the pilot of the drone will also have to get the license after drone training. At the same time, it was informed in the meeting that a Drone Corporation has also been formed in Haryana. 

In the meeting, Sh. Vij directed the officers to provide latest information related to drones to the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of all the districts.He said that action will now be taken in all the districts to crack down on those involved in drug dealing, under which coordinating committees would be formed. Along with this, drug de-addiction centres will be opened in all the districts, for which provision of minimum 10 beds has been made in these centres and people will be made aware of the same.It was further informed in the meeting that de-addiction centres have been opened in the jails of Rohtak and Hisar-1 and soon de-addiction centres would be established in every jail.Similarly, industrial safety was also discussed in the meeting in which Sh. Vij gave necessary guidelines to the officers.Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Sh. Rajeev Arora, Director General of Police, Sh. PK Agrawal, Additional Directors General of Police, Sh. A.S. Chawla, Sh. OP Singh, Sh.Shrikant Jadhav, Sh. Alok Mittal and Secretary, Home Department, Sh. Balkar Singh were also present.
