Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar  won the overall championship trophy of final Inter-Zonal Youth Festival of the Guru Nanak Dev University. Similarly, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar was declared runners up and Khalsa College, Amritsar got third position in this festival.As many as 80 student-artists from different institutes participated in 36 items of Music, Theatre, Dance, Literary & Fine Arts during this festival. The Festival was organised by the Youth Welfare Department of the Guru Nanak Dev University. Prof Anish Dua, Incharge and Dr Baljit Singh Sekhon, Advisor to the Youth Welfare Department in their seamless coordination are executing these festivals.

Prof. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor was the chief guest of the event and gave away trophies to the winners. Prof. Anish Dua, Dr. Baljit Singh Sekhon, Prof. Tejwant Singh Kang and other officials were also present.Prof. Anish Dua said in these competitions the items of Bhangra, Group Shabad/Bhajan, Group Song (Indian), Folk Orchestra, Classical Instrumental (Percussion), Classical Instrumental (Non-Percussion), Classical Vocal, Painting on the Spot, Cartooning, Poster Making, Collage, Clay Modeling, On the Spot Photography, Installation, Costume Parade, Mime, Mimicry, Skit, One Act Play, Vaar Singing, Kawishri, Geet/Gazal, Folk Song, Poetical Symposium, Elocution, Debate, Quiz Preliminary, General Group Dance, Gidha, Western Vocal Solo, Western Group Song & Western Instrumental, Rangoli, Phulkari and Mehndi were organized on the various venues in the Guru Nanak Dev University.
