The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today presided over the weekly Block Diwas/Youm-e-block programme at Gagren, here.General Manager, DIC, Shopian, Tehsildar, Shopian, Divisional Forest Officer, Block Development Officer, Sarpanchs, Panchs, besides several district officers and officials among others were present on the occasion.The Block Diwas proceedings at Gagren witnessed the participation of locals from different parts of the block.
Several delegation projected their demands and apprised DDC about their grievances which include Road connectivity to uncovered villages, scarcity of potable drinking water facility, installation of electric poles, uninterrupted power supply during ensuing winter, street lights, repairs of lanes and drains, providing of bore-wells, irrigation facility and various other issues.They also sought up-gradation of health and educational institutions, augmentation of power, water infrastructure etc.Responding to the demands, the DDC assured redressal in a time-bound manner after looking into their genuine demands and grievances of public importance.
