Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave the fourth guarantee of 'high quality and free education' to the people of Punjab in Pathankot, under which every child born in Punjab would get free and high quality education in government schools. Announcing the fourth guarantee on education, Arvind Kejriwal said, "Like Delhi, AAP government will also provide the best and free government education in Punjab. The child of the rich and the poor will be treated equally and receive the same education. The development of Punjab and the country can be possible only if the children get the best and free education, ”he said, adding that 25 per cent of the government budget in Delhi is spent on education. As a result,   education in government schools has improved and about 2.5 million more children have been enrolled in government schools, which used to be in private and expensive schools. Kejriwal said that 99.97 percent students of government schools in Delhi have passed and the children who have passed from these schools have got admission in medical and engineering courses. He said that earlier in Delhi also the state of education in government schools was very bad which was rectified by the Aam Aadmi Party government. Melania Trump, the wife of then US President Donald Trump, also visited government schools in Delhi after hearing the news that the education system was improving, despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts to stop them.

Referring to the government education system in Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal said that teachers in the state were unhappy as they were not regularized and were not paid a respectable salary. Appealing for the formation of Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, Kejriwal said that after the formation of AAP government in the state, it would be the responsibility of the government to provide free and quality government education. New schools will be built and old buildings will be renovated. Teachers will be given permanent jobs and will be paid a decent salary. People from USA, London, Canada will also come to see the government education system of Punjab. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia said that the pitiable condition of government schools in Chamkaur Sahib Assembly constituency of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi was refuting the claims of Channi and Education Minister Pargat Singh where a temporary teacher getting Rs. 6000/- salary is handling 5 classes. As a result, parents pulled out their children from school, leaving only 30 children. Sisodia said it was only a matter of two months, with the formation of AAP government, the locks on schools would be opened, spider nets would be cleared and the entire school system would be transformed. On the occasion Bhagwant Mann said that Congress government of Punjab was branding the doors and walls of government schools as smart schools with the money of parents, masters and donors. This was exposed by Delhi Education and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia during his first visit to schools in Chief Minister Channi's constituency.
