Punjab Technical Education, Water Conservation and Horticulture Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh today said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi is working diligently to fulfill the agenda of 'Development and Public Welfare'.Addressing the people while inagurating the development works worth about Rs. 2 crore in Kapurthala constituency alongwith former MLA Rajbans Kaur Rana today , the minister said that " it was first instance in history of Punjab politics that the common man felt empowered with the people oriented approach of the Government.Calling the allotment of plots to the landless people a giant step towards welfare of economically weaker section , the Minister said that the distribution of "Sanad" to make them the owners of their premises would be completed in next 10 days.

He alao said that Punjab government was releasing a grant of Rs. 10 crore for the development of Kapurthala constituency which would provide drinking water, sewerage and paved streets to 100% of the population.The Minister inaugurats a road near Chuharwal chungi at a cost of Rs. 40 lakhs besides a road at village Nurpur Rajputs costing Rs. 40 lakhs, road at village Rupanpur costing Rs. 50 lakhs and link road at village Aujla Jogi costing Rs. 60 lakhs.He urged the sarpanches and esteemed people to play the role of watchdog for timely completion of development works and maintaining quality of work.Prominent Present on the occasion were Mayor Kulwant Kaur, Chairman Market Committee Avtar Singh, Vice Chairman Market Committee Rajinder Kaura, Senior Councilor Narinder Mansu, Block Samiti Member Gurdeep Singh etc.
