DLSA Udhampur hosts Mega Legal Awareness Camp

In connection with the Pan India Awareness and Outreach Campaign launched under the aegis Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur, under the guidance of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, and overall supervision of Secretary, Rajni Sharma (Sub-Judge) organised a Mega Legal Awareness Camp here at District Court Complex.The Mega Camp was organized by DLSA Udhampur in collaboration with the District Administration Udhampur.Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur, Y.P. Bourney (Pr. Distt. & Sessions Judge) was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib was the Guest of Honour.The program began with the welcome address by Secretary, District Legal Services Authority; Rajni Sharma (Sub-Judge). She briefed the participants about various Government Welfare Schemes and lauded the initiatives undertaken by the DLSA Udhampur and the District Administration. Malikarjun Singh Slathia conducted the stage proceedings.A Pictorial Exhibition on the awareness programmes undertaken by DLSA Udhampur during the ongoing Pan India awareness Campaign Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was also organised at Conference Hall District Court Complex Udhampur.

The Mega Camp was organised for distribution of benefits of Government Welfare Schemes to the intended beneficiaries.Key Departments, including Social Welfare Department, Health Department, Education Department, Banks, Horticulture, Social Forestry, Floriculture, Sericulture Department, public library, Handloom & Handicrafts department had put up their stalls to display their schemes and provide on the spot benefits to the beneficiaries.On the occasion, DLSA Udhampur also distributed Bags and Books among the Poor and needy Students.  The Secretary DLSA also handed over Trophies and Certificates to the winner students who participated in various Competitions organized by DLSA Udhampur during the Pan India awareness Campaign.Later, the chief Guest handed over trophies to the Panel Lawyers, PLVs and staff of DLSA Udhampur and lauding the efforts of District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur.The Chairperson District Legal Services Authority,  Y.P. Bourney (Pr. Distt. & Sessions Judge) congratulated DLSA Udhampur for organizing such a grand event for the benefit of General Masses. \ Station House Officer, Udhampur Chaman Gorkha was also felicitated by the Secretary DLA on the occasion for his valuable contribution in making this programme a success.
