Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori today directed officials to continue putting all out efforts in maintaining the top-performer status of Jalandhar district in the implementation of flagship programs and schemes of the government.Chairing a meeting with the officials of various departments, the DC reviewed progress in as many as 65 programs being run by state or center governments for the holistic development of the society. He also reiterated that the district administration would leave no stone unturned to benefit people with these pre-people welfare schemes adding that all officers concerned should adopt a positive approach to achieve this goal.Thori mentioned that the district Jalandhar has secured second position in the overall ranking in Key Performance Index (KPIs) issued by the state government and he directed officials to put more efforts to become number one district in the state by implementing these programs in letter and spirit. 

He also stated that any kind of laxity in this task would be unwarranted as explanations would be sought from the officials reflecting poor performance in these schemes. He further pointed out that departments need to work harder in certain schemes where the district has been placed at the lowest ranking as he would personally monitor their progress on a daily basis.The DC stated also lauded the efforts of departments whose performance was ranked at top position comprising Sewa Kendras, Grievances Redressal, rural development, employment generation and training, revenue and rehabilitation, mandi board, agriculture as department have achieved desirable results in the implementation of the delivery of citizen centric services with zero pendency, Punjab grievances redressal system, MGSVY, smart village campaign, mission antyodaya, skill development mission, sarbat sehat bima yojna, mutation of land, e-Nam, and others.Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Himanshu Jain, ADCs Rajat Oberoi, Amarjit Bains, SDMs, and heads of various departments.
