Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer today chaired a meeting of key Officials here at DC office Doda to review the progress of ongoing mega projects and implementation of the flagship schemes in the district.During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held with regard to the progress of construction of alternate NH 244, twin tunnels, physical status of GMC Doda, creation of receiving station for GMC, National High Altitude Medicinal Plant Bhaderwah, completion of PMGSY schemes, besides the winter preparedness, coverage of families under PM Kissan, KCC, progress under Jal Jeevan Mission and the issues impending the developmental works.Regarding NH 244, the NHIDCL authorities apprised the Div Com that the work on the Khaleni Malhori tunnel has been started and widening of the highway is also going on. They further informed the chair that the resurvey of the Dranga tunnel is complete and structure assessment from Khaleni to Thathri is also nearing completion and 3D will be published in the newspaper soon.The Div Com directed the DC to complete the 3D within two days and by Monday the same shall be published in the newspaper, besides he asked them to resolve minor issues at their own level in coordination with the local representatives for speedy execution of the works.The Div Com also directed the NHIDCL to expedite the process of documentation and other necessary requirements of Dranga tunnel in coordination with the District Administration and other higher authorities to facilitate early start of work.  

Reviewing the power supply scenario, the Div Com asked the  PDD Department  to arrange additional buffer stock of transformers of various capacities, poles and conductors etc ahead of winter season. He asked PDD to frame an efficient winter preparedness plan to prevent prolonged outages.He further asked to explore the possibilities for     further augmentation of power infrastructure in the district to avoid inconvenience to the general public during the approaching winter.He directed Project Division JPDCL to transfer the required funds to PWD for the levelling of identified  land for dedicated Receiving station of 10MVA for GMC Doda. The DDC and SSP were asked to regulate the rates of mining minerals in the district to avoid  inconvenience to the public.The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma, ADC Doda Dr RK Bharti, CPO Doda,  SE PWD, SP Bhaderwah, GM NHIDCL, ACR Doda. CMO Doda, DIO Doda, Ex. Engineers of Jal Shakti & PDD, CAO Doda and other  officers and officials of concerned departments.Meanwhile, the Divisional Commissioner visited Bhadarwah to take stock of the ongoing developmental works. During the visit, he inspected the pace of developmental works at Lake view Resort Gatha and   Ayush Health and Wellness Centres (a scheme under Ayushmann Bharat Govt. of India) at Chhabra Kotli and University Campus Bhadarwah. The Div Com also visited the site of Mini secretariat to inspect the work in progress.  Later, the Div Com interacted with officers of Sub District Bhadarwah and Public delegations.The Div Com listened to the public  demands which included opening of a Government library in the building of the old hospital and construction of a tourist hut at Noori Hanga, a famous tourist spot.
