The serene meadows of Jammu’s famous tourist destination Patnito today presented a festive look as the place witnessed a series of activities involving students and locals, organized by District administration Ramban in connection with the Iconic Week Festival.The students and locals participated in a Yoga session followed by a Heritage Walk and a cleanliness drive. The Heritage walk was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner   Mussarat Islam in presence of Chief Executive Officer Patnitop Development Authority Sher Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner,  Harbans Lal, SDM Ramsoo, Dilmir Choudhary, DYSSO Dharamvir and several other officers.The students enthusiastically enjoyed the heritage walk which  started from main meadow Patnitop and culminated at  Sanasar road. They also collected waste papers and single use plastic from in and around the meadows to clean the area.Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged the participants to adopt walking and Yoga as an integral part of their daily life to enjoy a healthy and joyful life.The DC also stressed upon them to act as ambassadors of administration to educate the people about the importance of cleanliness, sanitation and personal hygiene.
