Juhi Manhas Pathania Vice Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur today called upon local administration to be more sensitive towards public needs and requirements.Addressing a public grievance redressal camp at Town Hall Ramnagar, she sought immediate clearance of MGNREGA liabilities.  She called for fullest implementation of the Public Services Guarantee Act thereby facilitating delivery of essential services to people. She observed that the  lack of public awareness is hindering its implementation in true spirit. She further called upon the revenue agencies to immediately resolve the issue of take-off points at Chowki-Khurkhal road, Trilla to Dalsar road and Hamdana to Panjian road. She also asked for compensation in lieu of land taken from farmers for the construction of various roads/buildings.She also called for immediate forest clearance of Thial to Chountra Mata road. She further called for compensation to Kulwanta to R.C Peak road built by GREF. She further said that various SAUBHAGYA beneficiaries have been issued connections but poles are yet to be installed.

She further called for making good the deficiencies of Sanote to Garh Samna Banj road, Kamtala to Babey road under PMGSY, Ramnagar to Chhatriari under CRF.She also demanded immediate payments of works executed under the Bad Pocket Initiative.The camp was also attended by  Mool Raj DDC Ramnagar-I,  Jattu Ram, Ramnagar-II,  Pinky Devi, DDC Latti Marothi,  Rakesh Bodhi, DDC Ghordi.The concerned DDCs also projected day to day issues concerning their respective constituencies/areas and sought prompt redressal of the same.These included a motorable bridge at Kokani in Latti, Community Hall for Latti, Bankheda PMGSY road. They also expressed concern over the slow pace of work on Udhampur to Ghordi road and Ramnagar to Basantgarh road. They also sought enquiry into delayed start of work on PMGSY work on Sulghar to Dalsar Khas road. The speakers also called for ensuring qualitative and time bound execution of work on developmental projects. All the members were unanimous about clearance of MGNREGA liabilities in district Udhampur at the earliest which were operating harshly on the last strata of the society.The camp was attended by nodal and sectoral officers of   RDD, PMGSY, PWD, Animal/Sheep Husbandry, JSD, I & FC and others.Among others who attended the camp were Kuldip Sharma, Roneshwar Gupta, Jagmohan, Bikram Singh, Ramiz Sheikh, Sanjay Sharma, Romesh Kumar, Shakti Devi, Krishan sarpanch, Kuldip Verma, Pawan Kumar and others.
