The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today presided over the weekly Block Diwas at Manzgam here and listened to the issues and grievances of People for timely redressal.The program witnessed active participation of people from Manzgam, Watoo, Tangmarg, Chogalpora, Halen, Gujjar Basti, Avil and other villages besides PRIs also participated in this grievance redressal camp who apprised the DC about grievances and developmental needs in their areas.Delegation from several villages raised issues and demands which include augmentation of drinking water supply and electricity network, augmentation of staff at health institutions, establishment of power Receiving station, development of playfield, separate education zone for Manzgam area and other issues.The DC gave a patient hearing to demands raised by people and directed the concerned officers to ensure prompt and speedy redressal of issues and demands of people.

Officers present on the spot also responded to various queries and issues raised by the people and various other issues were also redressed on the spot.While interacting with the people the DC said that the main aim and objective of Block Diwas is to take a firsthand appraisal of issues and grievances of immediate nature for timely redressal at the door steps of people.The District Development Council member Manzgam, Chowdhary Jameela, SDM Noorabad, ACR, ACD, ACP, Executive Engineers from R&B, PDD, Jal Shakti, Tehsildar and other officers from civil and police administration also attended the programme.Later, the DC visited several developmental project sites and took stock of the pace and progress of these projects.Meanwhile Block Diwas functions were also held at Block Behibagh and Kund, where ADDC, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi and ADC, Showkat Ahmad Rather along with officers of line departments listened to issues and grievances of people.
